So yesterday was the competition we've all been training and awaiting for. We all worked hard and in the end we won. Both teams took home the gold. Pictures are on other people's blogs but heres a video i found. Congrats to everyone and thanks for everyone's support!

Friday: Genesys practice - Left early because I went to Sheena's Debut. Pretty live jam, met a dude from Vybe. Got home at around 3ish.
Saturday: YFC CO - Woke up at 8 to go to Scarborough. Picked up Gabs, ate breakfast. Then went to the CO. Pretty good day, talks were interesting but couldnt get alot out of them because of my headache. After CO went to Fairview to go prom shopping with mona, stephen, gabs, saumdel, and jordan. Jordan is a freaking lifesaver for helping choose the right colours. Then picked up Marian from work. Took her out for dinner. I was supposed to take her to Dave & Busters but I didnt know what the age requirement was. Went to KGrill on highway 7 but it was too full so ended up eating at Pickel Barrel at Yorkdale. Time well spent, got to talk with her and catch up on a lot of things.
Sunday: NEW CAR! - Started off with cotillion practice. Patricia was sick so I didnt have a partner. Played ball after. Then parents picked me up and we went to the car dealership to finalize the deal for the new car. So my dad took it out for a test drive and we bought it. So now I get to keep the Cavalier for myself and he gets the new car. We bought an '06 Mazda Tribute. I'll post some pictures this week when we go back to the dealer to pick it up. Anyways sold my court forces and air maxes today to a good friend. And then watched the ball game. YEEEE BOSTON IS GONE! I honestly didn't want them to win.
OH and downloaded the new Drake mixtape today, didnt finish listening to it all but so far so good.
Dry Run!

Yesterday was a weird day. Woke up to the sound of hail. And what was even crazier was the hail was the size of one of those big marbles. Anyways Genesys had our Dry Run for STOMP ( By the way if you wanna buy tickets, let me know). Ahh while practicing i heard the song Turn My Swag On like 3 times from other teams ughh...Anyways We killed it! All the practice payed off. Now i can't wait for the competition. After we got out of the rec center it ended up becoming sunny and warm, which was a complete change from the morning weather. Headed off to AMC with some of the crew members. Thought we were gonna watch a movie but ended up loafting. Then went to the Atrium and loafted even more. Met up with Stephen. Then everyone else left so met up with Pam and chilled for a bit. Then met up with Stephen, Mona, Liezel, and Steph since they went to eat. Then went to watch Ghost of Girlfriends Past. It was a chick flick but whatever. Pretty good movie. After that dropped Mona off at Finch and then headed home.
Camp Righteous Uphold

So this weekend went to my first YFC camp. To be honest I went there skeptical. I really didn't have strong faith in religion. But I was looking to build up on it. It was nothing like I expected it to be. All the talks actually got to me, I didn't fall asleep. Talk 3 & 4 probably hit me the most. Those were the talks that really changed my perspective. During the reflection period, while writing that letter, I ended up crying while writing the first few sentences. Honestly this camp hit me hard. But if you really wanna know how well it got to me you just got to talk to me, writing on this blog can't even explain the experience i went through.
But anyways, pretty fun camp. Made alot of new friends and got to become alot closer with current ones. Talent show was fun, Genesys members performed Ian's I Need You Bad routine and me and Rondel krumped. Raw +1 (lol because Patricia was in it) did a performance. Oh, I got to ask Mona to prom. And I did it in a cool way in my opinion. Kinda thought of it on the spot. So heres how I did it. We were eating near the laptop and playing around with the slideshow. So i decided to write "Monalyn (rest of her name here...since i don't want to expose it) will you be my date for prom?" and then i turned on the projector. Then she read it, and said Yes. Pretty cool thing too because we randomly matched that day.
